First shots through the new AP5SD converted to true SD form by HiTec Arms (formerly TPM?) As you can tell from the immediate reaction to the first shot, this bisch is crazy quiet.
If you are not aware, MP5SDs work by running a ported barrel that bleed off gas and pressure before the bullet even leaves the barrel, allowing it to pretty much turn all 9mm ammo subsonic. In this video, a mix of 124gr S&B and Browning range trash ammo were used.
Recently Century Arms/MKE imported their new AP5SDs, which LOOK like a SD MP5, but are functionally not. They run a standard MP5K tri-lug/threaded barrel underneath the cage, and therefore even when running a can, rounds will still be supersonic.
HiTec Arms, partnered with Century/MKE to convert these faux SD guns into a real SD configuration, and is the gun you see in this video.
It is running an RCM SD barrel with HTA 12″ SD suppressor. On top is a B&T low profile T2 mount with an AimPoint PRO on Vortex low rings. Hanging off the can is a Surefire 660 mounted via hose clamps and the Surefire M13 mount designed for use with the MP5SD. Currently running a SB Tactical brace, but will swap to an MKE A3 stock once my SBR stamp clears.
